TRANS ATLANTIC TRADE AND INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP

A few months ago we were contacted by some people we know at War and Want who wanted to make a video on The Trans Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement to be shown to  the European Commission.

This agreement mainly covers trade between the European Union and America.  One of the areas it covers  is the import of meat which would not necessarily be subject to meat inspections. Also from our understanding of this agreement which is being proposed, even if an outbreak from an imported meat source was from America the Government would not be able to take this matter further with them. In fact, quite the contrary, they may be able to sue the Government for any loss of trade.

To this end, they wanted to film someone who had lost a child due to contaminated meat.
