Yorkshire water supply contaminated

Residents in Cherry Burton, East Riding have been warned their water supply could be contaminated with a potentially deadly bacteria.

The water supplies to 30 homes are being monitored after small traces of E.coli were found in an underground storage reservoir.

Yorkshire Water has advised residents that the risk of becoming ill from tap water is low, but as a precaution is supplying bottled water.
