Investigations continue after E.coli outbreak at Aboyne nursery

NHS Grampian's Health Protection team is now investigating an outbreak of E.coli O157 that is affecting three adults and four children. There are also another four suspected cases, who are all children.

The children all attend Rose Lodge Nursery School in Aboyne and NHS Grampian health protection team has contacted staff and parents/carers and provided them with information about the ongoing investigation and the control measures that have been put in, and remain in place.

The Health Protection Team is continuing to work with Aberdeenshire Council's Environmental Health team on identifying potential sources of exposure and the investigation is not confined solely to the nursery.
