New E. coli O157 cases confirmed at Welsh nursery

Additional cases of E. coli O157 have been diagnosed as part of an outbreak associated with Tri Ceffyl Bach nursery on Anglesey, bringing the total number of cases diagnosed since 13th October to 8.

In all, 62 people associated with the nursery have been tested for the bacterium and an outbreak control team of public health experts, the health board and Anglesey council is still meeting and investigations into the source of the outbreak continue.

The nursery remains closed and anyone with concerns should contact their own GP or NHS Direct Wales on 0845 4647
