Delegates to consider lifting ban on Egyptian agricultural products

The Middle East News Agency (MENA) has reported that a delegation from the European Union (EU) and the World Health Organisation (WHO) will visit Egypt this week, as they consider lifting a ban on importing Egyptian agricultural products, suspected of being infected with E. coli bacteria,

Saad Nassar, an adviser to Egypts Agriculture Ministry has said that: Officials from the WHO say their organisation is ready to help Egypt with food safety". He added that the EU team will review all stages of production, exporting and distribution. "The EU could lift the ban on the importation of Egyptian seeds after the visit," stressed Nassar.
