Outbreak at Godsone Farm

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) reports that the total number of cases of E Coli O157 linked to Godstone Farm in Surrey is 86.Located just off the M25, Godstone Farm is a popular visitor attraction for families.

Three children remain in hospital all of whom are described as stable. None are seriously ill.

A public meeting of the HPA has today agreed the terms of reference for an independent investigation into the outbreak.  This will be led by George Griffin, Professor of Infectious Diseases and Medicine at St. George's University of London and Chair of the Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens.  Further details can be found on the HPA website at:
